Shuttle Bus Pictures

Here it is! Inside there's really not that much seating, but we can stand up in it, and there's lots of room in the back for wheelchairs and stuff.

I didn't post this weeks memory verse and hymn because I'm still working on last weeks ( oops!). I'm going to try to come up with a schedule so I should be able to get everything done, but honestly, procrastination is probably my real enemy. I'll have to work on that. *sigh*

Esther's Birthday

Yesterday Esther turned eight! Here's some pictures I took:

Mommy told her to close her eyes :)

One of the things Esther got were two new 18" dolls. Their names are Lisa and..... I can't remember the other one.Mommy made the cake (chocolate!) and then I got to decorate it. This cake turned out good (unlike previous ones). This time I got the icing the right consistency. Esther was just about to blow out her candle :)

We made supper a tea party, and me, Anna, and Esther dressed up.

Other than Esther's birthday we haven't been to busy. Although we are working on costumes for Reformation Day. I did darts for the first time! It wasn't that difficult, I was just nervous that I was going to mess up. On accident I drew the dart on the wrong side of the fabric with a red ink pen ( what was I thinking!), but only a little bit shows. I'll have to post a picture it when I'm finished.

This weeks memory verse:
They do nothing wrong;

they walk in his ways.
You have laid down precepts that

are to be fully obeyed.

Oh, that my ways were steadfast

in obeying your decrees!

119:3-5

This weeks hymn:

O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore! How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore! How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!’Tis an ocean full of blessing, ’tis a haven giving rest!O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ’tis a heaven of heavens to me;And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!

Sunday

This weeks memory verse:

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,

who walk according to the law of the Lord.

Blessed are they who keep to his statutes,

who seek him with all their heart.

Psalm 119:1-2

I've decided that each week I want to learn a hymn, or at least one verse of one. On Sundays, I'll post which one I'm going to learn each week, and give some information about the hymn. This week I'm learning " A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" written by Martin Luther in 1529. He was born in November 10, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany, and he died on February 18, 1548. Later, in 1853, Frederic H. Hedge translated it from German to English. Martin Luther also wrote several other hymns; I'll probably tell more about him when we celebrate Reformation Day in October.

A White Christmas

Recently Momma got White Christmas from the library (yes, I know its not even fall yet), so me and Anna could learn the sisters dance. There were things about the movie, and some parts of the dances that I didn't like, but I still enjoyed it.

Here's the Abraham number ( I love this one!):

Hey everyone! I know its been quite a while since I posted anything, sorry about that.

I have been doing some cleaning around here and I took some before and after pictures. I haven't put them on the computer yet though so I'll post those later. First I cleaned our foyer, but really it was mostly the computer desk and shelf in the foyer that needed cleaning (and organizing).
Another day, I cleaned the hallway. Now, I know this doesn't sound like much but the wall in our hallway is white, and SOME people like to run their fingers across the wall when they walk by. So I took a Magic Eraser to get all the pencil, red crayon, and brown finger prints of the wall. Magic Erasers take paint off of walls (it wasn't really bad or anything, it just made my fingers white), And the pencil and crayon (I think that's what they where) didn't really come off.

Also in the hallway we have two nearly floor to ceiling dark blue bookcases, which were very dusty. The bookcases are in a corner, so in between them is this nice little nook. I decided to turn this into a place to sit and read a book so I took a stool out of me and Anna's room, and covered it with a red pillow case (it's very handy sometimes to not nail the seat of things back after you change the fabric :).

Okay, I know that this painting doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about, but isn't it pretty?
