Free Vintage Crochet

The other day, I was looking for free crochet patterns (and how to under stand them), when I found Free Vintage Crochet. This site is great! There are instructions for seventeen different stitches, and tons of vintage patterns. So far, the only new stitch I've learned is the bean stitch, but I definitely want to learn others. Isn't it pretty?

Samuel's Birthday!!

Today Samuel turned six. *sniffles*
He's grown so much. When Samuel was born, he was the length of a newspaper, but now, he comes up to my waist. :)
He loves John Deere.
He's (almost) always full of energy, and is constantly hopping around.

Samuel loves to work around the house and in the shop with daddy,

And play cowboys with Anna.

Happy Birthday!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong-doing,
but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Our Date with Daddy

On the eighth, Daddy took me, Anna, Esther and Lydia out to eat at Chick-fil-a!
They were having a special Father Daughter event, so we dressed up, and got all pretty while we waited on Daddy to come home from work. Samuel and Jacob stayed home with Momma, and got to watch a movie while they ate supper (they were very happy about that).

When we got there, a lady showed us to our table (Daddy made reservations), and we even had a waitress. :) We were each given a paper with questions to ask each other, like "Did you have any pets when you were younger?", or, "where did you meet Momma?". We already knew the answers to many of the questions, but not all of them.

After we ate, we got our picture taken, which I would post here, but we haven't gotten it yet. So instead, here's the picture Mommy took before we left.

On the way home, Esther and Lydia entertained us by playing a game with their stuffed cows. All the cows had to do to get money was chop down trees and paint a dollar sign on the leaves. Unfortunately, the daddy cow (with British accent!) didn't know how to use a chain saw, so he had to do it the old fashioned way, and Esther said it only works for cows. :)
