Anna's Birthday!

Anna had a really nice time on her tenth birthday! Here's the pictures:

This picture was taken around nine in the morning

I really like this one!

his is a purse I made her

New pens
going to be something yummy..... A new coloring book Lego blocks!

Mommy made the cake and I made the icing and decorated the top. I got the sprinkles into a heart shape by placing a cookie cutter on the cake and just sprinkling on the inside. Strawberry cake is so good! Anna licking the icing off the bottoms of the candles The last thing she got was a bible cover and a nice new bible!!

Making a House a home

Livvy at http://www.adaughtersheart.blogspot.com/ is asking young ladies to join her in cleaning and making comfortable our homes. What a great way to serve our families and help our Mothers! On Tuesdays I'll post about which rooms I'm cleaning and making more pleasant, and I'll try to make sure to take before and after pictures.

My Birthday

I'm fourteen now!! I got the movie Sense and Sensibility (1995), five skeins of gray yarn, some books, a gift card to Jo Ann's, some music, pretty cards and (Goody!!) a dress form!
The dress form isn't here yet though.
Mommy made me a cheesecake, and got some cherry pie filling to go on top of it. I didn't take any pictures, but Anna's birthday is on the 28th, and I'll probably take lots of pictures then ( I still haven't found my camera cord though!). This afternoon I watched all 136 minutes of Sense and Sensibility and I like it! It has some nice dresses in it.

This weeks memory verse:

" For I know the plans I have for you"

declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you

and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope

and a future."

A shuttle bus?!

We now own a white Shuttle bus!! Yesterday we went up to Birmingham to get it, and got to see Granddad too. I would really like to take a picture and put it on here, but I can't find my camera cord at the moment ( this seems to be a common thing around here). I rode some in it last night, but most of the time I rode with Mommy in the van ( Daddy's going to try to get rid of it). The shuttle bus makes lots of noise! Oh, it has a lift in it too, for Lydia and Jacob. Lydia shouldn't have to use a wheelchair much but Jacob will probably use one all the time when he's bigger.

P.S. Tomorrow is my birthday!! I'm so excited!

Random

We've been really busy lately. Friday night at bed time, Samuel decided to stick a little green plastic bead in his ear (he was stalling). Daddy tried several ways to get it out, but he ended up having to go to the emergency room. After waiting for a long while, They tried getting it out, but Samuel was moving ( he was scared), and they made his ear bleed; It's pushed further in too. He's going to have to an ENT to get it out :(. I don't think he'll ever stick a bead in his ear again!

I've decided to start a blogging schedule! I haven't really thought of much yet, but I know that there will be a memory verse on Sunday, and a recipe some time during the week. Do y'all have any ideas?

This weeks memory verse:

Trust in the LORD and do good;

dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you

the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD;

trust in him and he will do this:

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,

the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Psalm 37: 3-6

Purplesome

This is a poem I wrote yesterday about Lydia's doll. It was going to be a song but now I'm not sure :D.

Miss Lydia has a doll,

and Purplesome's her name.

She takes her nearly everywhere

to play all kinds of games.

Why name her Purplesome you ask?

Allow me to explain.

Anna is the clever one that

came up with the name.

Lydia loves purple dearly,

so really it was merely,

a pretty simple choice.

So Purplsome was created,

and Lydia was elated.

What a perfect name for her doll!

Pictures

In the last post I said I would put pictures of Anna and Esther so here they are ( I added some other pictures too)!

Jacob and Lydia watching a movie

He really looks like he's watching a movie in this picture :)

Anna and Esther were kind of in a silly mood; they were trying to frown at each other, but Esther looks like she's grinning :D.

Today my Momma and I went shopping, and we stopped at Goodwill. I found the most wonderful vest!! It will go great with that Edwardian outfit I'm trying to create; now I just need to find a just perfect blouse ( I forgot about the one on Ebay and it ended ).
My vest is almost like this one (in brown); I really want to be able to find a shirt like hers! I might have to go to Joann's get a pattern and sew one though.
Tomorrow I'll put some pictures I took of Anna and Esther together ( It's really late, I'm going to bed now!).

Modest clothes

Recently, I've been trying to find some modest clothes to replace old ones ( Mommy's been selling stuff on Ebay to make money to buy more clothes for the younger ones. Smart! ), And I stumbled upon this site: http://www.modestclothes.com/ . It's a great help! There are tons of links separated into convenient categories like trendy modest clothes, or plain and simple Christian.

I've been trying to find clothes from the 1950's, which hasn't been to hard; There's a good amount on Ebay. But, the other outfit I've been looking for is a different story. I'm trying to piece together a Edwardian outfit ( yes, for everyday wear), Like Anne of Green Gables.I found two long skirts ( almost ankle length ), and some blouses, but the top is still not quite what I'm looking for :( . There is one I found on Ebay that should work okay though :).

Bad news :(

Right now a money making adoption scam is going on, where these people are getting pictures of children off of blogs, and say they're up for adoption! Daddy asked me to change my blog to invited readers only because of it, and I would encourage you to do the same for the time being till the criminals are caught. This is a great disappointment for me, since some of you readers I don't know, and you have to have the persons e-mail address to invite them :( . Here's some pictures I've taken over the past few months :

Jacob and Anna my shoes (he he) my buddy Jacob flowers at my granddad's house

Lydia " Cheese!" me and my camera working on Samuel's tooth

Esther Mr. Squirrel "what are you doing with the camera now?!"

Samuel lost his tooth ( finally) !!!!! I'm saying"lost"instead of "pulled" because he says it fell out :).

I hate to have to say good bye, I've loved getting comments from y'all that I haven't met. Farewell!!!

P.S. If you would like to be an invited reader leave me your e-mail address :) . Good bye again!
