We're going On Vacation To...

Texas!!!!!!
Momma made little books telling what all is happening so people don't ask so many questions. :)
We'll be gone for over a week, so we've been busy. Momma and Lydia went out for the morning, and I stayed home with the rest of the children and undid Esther's braids with Anna's help. We didn't finish before Momma got home, so we started back after lunch and just finished a while ago (finally!). Tomorrow, Momma and I are going to braid her hair, which will take HOURS. But, We have lots of Family Affair and Brady Bunch to watch while we're doing it, Esther will look nice and pretty when we're gone, and we won't have to do it again for about a month!

A lot of sewing has been going on around here, too. Thankfully, we have two sewing machines so Momma and I can sew at the same time. :) I made one skirt from a pattern which turned out all right, and then another one from a dress that used to be Esther's ( I cut off the top, sewed around the top edge, and ta da!) which turned out good.
We leave on Saturday, and everyone is excited!

P.S I'll try to blog while we're gone!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

We are so incredibly blessed to have the father that we have.
He's our provider, protector, teacher, and maneges to be those things even when he's in a great deal of pain (migraines back aches etc, etc).

I love you to the moon and back Daddy!

Rainy Randomness

Sorry it's taken me so long to post! Not much has really been going on here, so I haven't had anything to say for a while.

I believe It's rained every day this week! It hasn't rained yet today, but I think it's supposed to later. I don't mind, because I like rain, but I everyone else is probably getting tired of it. Anna was telling me the other day that she wished she could go outside and play, and Samuel was asking Momma if they could go out in the rain. :)

Momma went out and picked some blueberries this morning! Maybe we can make some blueberry Delight soon (I'll have to post the recipe for that some time; it's Delicious).

It's hard to believe that June is already here. It feels like this year has just started, but really it's half over! I've been thinking a lot lately about how short life really is. The older I get, the faster time seems to slip by, and I understand a bit better how people can say, "It feels like that was yesterday" when it was fifteen years ago. It really makes me want to use my time well. :)
