Lego Letters

Anna made these a few days ago with her Lego's.
Aren't they cool?
And here's Anna with her creation. :)

P.S. I didn't realize that they weren't going to put all three episodes of the Emma movie on the computer at once, so the review will have to wait.

The New Emma Movie

Tonight at 8/9c the new Emma movie (with Romola Garai as Emma) is going to be on PBS!
We don't have a television though, so I'll watch it tomorrow online. I'll probably write a review of the movie later this week if I remember. :)
I'm so excited!

mp3 Players

For Christmas Daddy got Mommy a black mp3 player, and a red one for me. We were both excited and we really like them.
I love music, so I put some songs on and really enjoyed them. Tchaikovsky is one of my very favorites.
But when I had been putting songs on it, I missed a few, so I plugged it back into the computer. Big mistake. It sucked everything off. So I stayed up really late ripping songs on to the computer and putting them back on the mp3 player. I picked more songs this time, and instead 83, I ended up with 253 songs. :)
Momma and I decided to trade since hers didn't take everything off when she plugged it in. She listens to sermons and Dave Ramsey, and then takes them off after she finishes listening to them anyways.
I was nervous about plugging it in the other day to charge it, but it worked fine!

Mommy's Blog

Yesterday, Momma started a blog called Growing & Learning! We spent a long time picking a background and header but the finished product looks nice.

She's already written two posts! You can read them here.

Coconut Tres Leches Hot Chocolate

Momma made this the other day and it was delicious!

Ingredients:

3 cups of Fat-free milk (we just used normal milk)
1 14-oz. can unsweetened coconut milk
1/2 of a 14-oz. can of sweetened condensed milk (2/3 cup)
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Whipped cream (optional)
1/4 cup chocolate shavings (optional)

Directions:

1. In a medium saucepan combine milk, coconut milk, and
sweetened condensed milk.
Bring to simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
Whisk in cocoa powder until well-combined.

2. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve in mugs topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Makes 5 (1-cup) servings

We decided it wasn't quite chocolaty enough, so Momma put in more cocoa powder and some chocolate syrup. :)

"Tilly"

I received this book for Christmas, and really enjoyed it!
The story is about abortion, and is a real tearjerker. It isn't very long (126 pages) but is definitely a worthwhile book to read.

P.S. I don't want to say to much about it because I might spoil it. :)

2010 Is Here!

I stayed up till midnight, just to be awake when the new year began, and wrote in the last few pages of my old journal. I normally don't write in journals that much (the one I just finished was started in 2007), but I really want to start writing things down more often. Then when I'm grown up and (Lord willing) married, my children can see what their momma was like she was younger, and besides, if I don't write things down, I'll probably forget half of it (I have a horrible memory).

2009 was a wonderful year, and God blessed us so much in it. I'm excited to see what challenges, changes, and joys 2010 has in store!
