I was reading my bible this morning and I thought that these verses of the nineteenth Psalm are absolutely beautiful! The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where there voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the end of the world. I love that :). What a wonderful verse to put to memory.

Baby Jarib
A friend of ours came from Washington to adopt this sweet little baby! You can read the story about Mrs. Julee getting Jarib here http://stillwaterjulee.blogspot.com/ . Lydia absolutely loved him! She'll probably make a great Mommy, because she loves all babies :) .
He has Spina Bifida and club feet just like Jacob! I have some pictures that I took of us seeing them off at the airport, but I can't find the right camera cord :(. Hopefully I'll find it soon so I can put them on here.

Happy Fathers' Day!
Sorry that this is a bit late, we were gone all day yesterday and I didn't have a chance to post. Our daddys are special in many ways, and one of the ways that they're special, is that they're protectors. In the the past (and in the present), my daddy has not allowed me to go certain places, or do certain things. Recently, I asked him if it was because of trust, and he said, "don't ever think its about trust". Daddy said that sometimes people say something we don't need to hear, or show us something we don't need to to see before we can stop them, and bad things normally stay in our memory for a LONG time. Even when our parents do trust us, every time that someone wants us to do something wrong with them, it's harder to say no. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" Even though sometimes I don't quite understand, I know that Daddy is much older and wiser than I am, and knows how to provide for, take care of, and protect me better than I could do by myself.

Freezing Corn
Since we have a garden this year we've been freezing quite a few vegetables lately. This website http://www.pickyourown.org//freezingcornonthecob.htm has great instructions!
This corn, at a good price, came from the farmers' market. The last time we tried to grow corn it ended up being rather small ( five inches maybe?).

A great commercial
I thought that this was so good! It shows that even when people think you can't achieve something, you can still try your best no matter what they say. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um9KsrH377A

A New Sewing Machine
Lately Daddy and Mommy have been looking for a sewing machine on Ebay because Our Singer quit working . The first kind they looked at was Pfaff, but we ended up getting a Viking Husqvarna. But the first time we used it, it didn't work! This morning Momma took it to be repaired and brought back a working machine! :)
A Baby Bird!
Remember the eggs in the Topsy Tury? one hatched!!!!! It must have been born today, and it didn't even have its little eyes open yet!

Crossing the Red Sea
This is a picture I drew of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. Last night we read the twenty-first chapter of Exodus, and it has some very interesting rules for the Israelites. Like, "If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death" and, "Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death" . The basis for a lot of our laws come from the first four books of the Bible.

Our Garden
So far this year we've gotten a lot of blueberries, some tomatoes, turnips, green beans, and squash. We have a few other things planted too.
We put the tomatoes in a thing called a Topsy Turvy, that you hang upside down outside, and, it has a hole in the top of it to pour water in. A bird has decided to build a net in one of them! unfortunately, I had to take the picture quickly so its not very good :( . And here's the green beans!
