My New Swimsuit

At the beginning of summer, I discovered that my swimsuit from  Simply Modest Swimwear was stretched out and in need of replacement. After spending time painstakingly searching the internet, I found this:

Sorry the picture is so fuzzy. The humidity made my camera lens fog up.

I'm really pleased! The skort and shirt both came from Athleta, which was a bit of a surprise to me. I wasn't expecting to find something so modest from a normal store! I guess a lot depends on how you choose to put your swimsuit together though.

One of the best things about this outfit is that the skort can also be worn everyday! Actually, it wasn't originally made to swim in, but it works for me.

The skirt is from the thrift store, the belt/scarf was made by me, and I can't remember where the shirt came from. :)
The jacket is from a yard sale, the shirt from the thrift store, the skirt from Momma and the shoes are hand-me-downs.

the skirt is from one of Esther's dresses, the shirt from Eddie Bauer, the vest from the thrift store, and the boots from Shoe Station.

The skirt is from Chadwicks and the sweater is from the thrift store.

A super easy way to have a new skirt

Simply take a knit girls' dress like this one,
Cut about two inches above the skirt of the dress, and wear it!  It isn't even necessary to hem it, since knit doesn't unravel very much. :)
